While the process of materializing a concept into a tangible product was invariably grueling, his driving purpose was always to make people's lives a little more convenient and beautiful through his creations.

Yet, the precise moment a child was born, the world revealed itself in an entirely different light. Watching the soft face of a sleeping baby and the gentle, rhythmic rise and fall of that tiny breath, his only wish was for the child to grow in perfect health—a profound longing that soon reshaped the very landscape of his daily life.

예전에는 대수롭지 않게 지나쳤던 방 안의 공기가 이제는 매일의 걱정거리가 되었습니다. 겨울에는 난방으로 금세 건조해지고, 여름에는 에어컨 바람으로 차갑게 식었습니다. 그래서 가습기를 켜고 습도계를 확인했지만, 수치는 늘 들쭉날쭉했습니다. 같은 공간에 놓여있는 수많은 온습도계들마다 다른 숫자를 보여주니 무엇을 믿어야 할지 알 수 없었습니다.

The realization that there was no reliable "standard"—which I had assumed would be the most basic requirement to safeguard my child's health—brought a profound sense of anxiety. The lack of a standard one could truly trust; that, indeed, was the core of the problem. And so, I made a vow:

"As a father, and as a designer, I will create a thermo-hygrometer that can be trusted."
